Recipes! – Raw “Apple Pie”!

🍎In the mood for apple pie?! 🥧Try out this super simple, yummy, healthy, sweet snack that legit tastes just like caramelly apple pie! 😋 I’ve simply sliced some organic gala apples and smushed some ooey gooey pitted dates on top with a sprinkling of cinnamon! This post is in honour of The Medical Medium ‘s apple challenge! Make sure to get more than one apple in a day for these amazing health benefits…

🍎Apples: Provide living water to support the liver’s hydration capabilities, so it can store the water and then release it back into the bloodstream when dehydration or dirty blood syndrome occurs. The fruit acids in apples help cleanse the liver by dispersing toxic films that build up inside its storage banks. Apples starve out bacteria, yeast, mold, other funguses, and viruses from the intestinal tract and liver. Great for dissolving gallstones. Apples also detox heavy metals and radiation from the body.

Dates: The intestinal tract builds up mucus due to low hydrochloric acid and bile production, and that can slow down the absorption of nutrients into the bloodstream. Recipes! – Persimmon Smoothie

  
Persimmons are AMAZING!!! Never had one? Please give it a go! They are super sweet like candy with this ooey gooey texture to them. They look like cute lil tomatoes ☺️ They are mainly in season around this time and when you try them out you gotta make sure they’re super ripe before eating. An under ripe persimmon will have a bitter taste and will leave you with a weird mouth feel. You’ll know when it’s ready when the skin is really soft to where you can almost break the skin from pushing into it. Like when a tomato is getting soft and squishy. Gotta be patient though, these bad boys can take awhile to ripen…but good things come to those who wait, like this delicious smoothie!!!

Persimmon Smoothie

Serves 1…because I like a massive smoothie for breakfast.

  • 1 super ripe persimmon (you can eat the skin too)
  • 4 frozen bananas
  • 1 cup frozen mango
  • 1 date
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • about 1 cup or more water (desired consistency)
  • 1 tablespoon ground flax seed
