Renèe’s Eczema Healing Testimony!

🌺My friend Zakiya from high school reached out to me awhile back with concerns about her daughter Renèe’s skin. I’m so glad that she’s doing so much better these days!🌈

You can scroll through to see her story and photos. She didn’t have many before photos, but the one that is shared you can see different discoloured patches on her belly. Zakiya was so gracious to send an email of support to another mother named Ibie who I’m helping with her two children experiencing eczema as well. I hope Reneè’s testimony can give you hope about healing baby eczema 🌸

***I’m not a medical professional but a wellness advocate, and through this website & social media platforms ( INSTAGRAM & FACEBOOK ) people reach out to me and I offer support, advice and tips of what has helped me over the years (26 yrs of steroid use and now 9 yrs free of ts)☺️

Jen’s Fave Products 2

*I have no affiliation to this product, I just love it!

I was put onto this awesome cream by my friend Abby of Eczema Conquerors . I used it on areas that had crusted over scabs that had finished oozing and it helped to clear it up really fast! Some people have even had success with using it on cuts & oozing skin (I suggest to pat dry the skin and test on a small area).

🌿🌸These ingredients are super clean as well, which is what I always look for in skincare products: ingredients you can understand that aren’t hazardous. A little goes a long way with this cream, so you don’t have to use much! Zinc is a powerful skin healing mineral & this is what Badger Balm says about this particular product:
“Badger’s ‘clear zinc’ sunscreen products use a specialized zinc oxide powder made of micron-sized mesoporous zinc oxide aggregates. These particles have a porous surface texture, like a sea sponge, so they don’t reflect as much visible light as standard non-nano zinc oxide particles & are therefore less whitening on the skin. The large particle size of this ‘clear zinc’ oxide gives it the same outstanding safety & efficacy of standard non-nano zinc oxide meaning it won’t absorb into your skin, it won’t harm the environment, & it provides excellent UVA & UVB protection.”

Veronique’s Healing Testimony!

🧡 I LOVE getting testimonials like this!💜

I receive emails & messages from people all over the world just from checking out my social media: INSTAGRAM & FACEBOOK and this website. I like to share my experience with what natural remedies that have helped me over the years of healing from eczema & I also send out a health questionnaire to those needing support. Veronique from Singapore reached out to me asking for some support & tips & it’s so awesome to see her healing progress! She also attributed using essential oils (which I highly recommend) as to what has been helping her skin! (The PODCAST she mentioned.)

Omega Sale!

I love my Omega vsj843r Low-Speed Juicer!

This sale is good until 9/30 & you can click HERE, my personal affiliate link to learn more and purchase if you’re interested!

The consistency of juice is perfect and so smooth and the clean up is super easy! It’s important to get a low-speed juicer as it ensures that the juice doesn’t oxidize and heat up where vital enzymes and nutrients can be lost. Juicing has been such a huge tool in my healing process as it’s super important to get lots of hydration from the alkaline goodness that are in plants! Juicing allows healing from the inside out because you’re getting a great dose of dense nutrients to help hydrate the old waste in the body, cleanse and heal! I notice when I juice more consistently and get a good quantity in daily, my skin feels much softer and hydrated. I love to do celery juice or a green drink first thing in the morning, then move on to a fruit juice like my current fave, organic Fuji apple, and lime!

Dry Brushing!

Have you ever heard about dry brushing? It’s super simple, cheap and takes only 5 minutes to do and it can really transform the integrity of the skin and help detoxify you from the inside out!

DID YOU KNOW….Your skin is the largest organ of elimination in the human body?? One third of your body’s toxins are excreted through the skin and dry brushing helps to unclog pores, slough off dead skin flakes and excrete toxins that become trapped in the skin.

I highly recommend adopting dry brushing in your daily routine, especially when going through the TSW healing process as you can accumulate and shed a ton of dead skin. It’s great to do on dry skin, but definitely be careful if the skin is oozing, red, raised and angry…you do not want to dry brush on these areas as it will make it worse. Only dry brush on dry flaky areas and gently-lightly dry brush certain areas that are more fragile and dry. Other areas that are dry but the skin seems stronger, you can brush a little bit harder.

To get started, follow the simple steps below:

1. Purchase a natural (not synthetic) bristle brush, the kind I use comes from cactus and vegetable fibers. I prefer the brush with the fabric handle attached, but there are also brushes with a long handle so can reach all areas of your body.

2. Get naked and stand in a bathtub or tiled surface to catch the falling skin.

3. Begin brushing by starting at your feet and moving in long sweeping motions toward your heart. Always brush toward your heart.

4. Brush several times in each area, overlapping as you go.

5. Take care as you brush over more sensitive areas, like breasts. Your skin will become less sensitive the more you dry brush.

6. Once you’ve brushed your entire body, jump in the shower. (I like to alternate between the hottest water temperature I can tolerate and the coldest at the very end of my shower. This stimulates the lymphatic system and stimulates blood circulation, bringing more blood to the top layers of the skin. Alternating between hot and cold also strengthens the immune system.)

7. After getting out of the shower, pat dry the skin and apply a natural organic oils and butters like coconut oil, jojoba, cocoa butter and mango seed butter. There is also an antioxidant rich organic micro blue green algae lotion that I like to use called Nutrabeautiful. You can find it HERE at my personal store site. You can see customer reviews on the lotion HERE.

8. Continue to dry brush your entire body every day. Twice a day is recommended for best results. Remember to clean your brush with soap and water once a week. I use a natural soap like Dr.Bronners Unscented liquid soap. Leave the brush to dry in a clean, sunny spot to avoid any mildew accumulation on your brush.

Try this for 30 days and see the results for yourself!

Some benefits of dry skin brushing:

1. You’ll exfoliate dead skin.

Instead of using an in-shower loofah and body scrubs, do dry brushing… this will ensure you have silky-smooth skin all year round!

2. It stimulates your lymphatic system.

Dry brushing your skin will kick start your lymphatic system (the sewer system of the body), which helps you remove toxins from the body. The stiffer the bristles on the brush, the better the lymphatic stimulation you’ll create.

3. Dry brushing helps to reduce cellulite.

Cellulite is simply toxic materials that have accumulated in your body’s fat cells and are trapped, unable to be eliminated from the body. Dry skin brushing helps to break down any trapped toxins from within the body and help your body eliminate them through its usual elimination channels.

4. It unclogs pores and de-congests skin.

Dry skin brushing unclogs your skins pores and helps your skin absorb more nutrients. Daily skin brushing promotes healthy, breathing skin. So make sure to pamper the largest organ in our bodies!

Using Bentonite Clay

“Put Some Dirt On It”😂

My legs & feet have always been my worst areas in my eczema recovery & when they start to feel a bit irritated, I bring out my trusty Bentonite Clay to give my skin some much needed attention. I apply this to dry skin, not full on oozing skin. I had some flaky areas with small dried oozed spots. My philosophy with oozing skin is to let it dry up on its own & work on deeper cleansing methods with food & natural remedies.

Here’s some info about this healing clay: Bentonite clay comes from volcanic ash & some of the largest sources of it are found in Fort Benton, Wyoming.

✅It is packed with trace minerals including calcium, magnesium, silica, sodium, copper, iron & potassium.

✅The magic lies in how it draws out the toxins & impurities in the skin (& internally when ingested) as it has the ability to produce a charge that is electrical in nature when it comes in contact with liquid, similar to how earthing (touching your bare feet to the earth; wet grass) works. When the clay touches any type of fluid (normally water), it takes on a different charge & binds to any present toxins within the fluid. When mixed with water & left to dry on the skin as a mask, it is able to bind to bacteria & toxins living on the surface of the skin & within pores. This helps to reduce the outbreak of blemishes, alleviate redness, fights against allergic reactions and even helps heal poison ivy.

✅It can act as an antibiotic treatment when applied to the skin, helping to calm skin infections, & speed up healing time of wounds.

🔹TIP: I mix 2 parts water to 1 part clay, & I use a ceramic bowl and mix with my fingers. You DON’T want to mix with metal utensils & a metal bowl as it is said that it will de-activate the magnetic charge needed to pull out the toxins. Also if you’ve been scratching the area pretty badly, applying the clay can burn. You want to let it sit about 20 min, until it’s dry, wash & pat dry. Afterwards I applied my DIY mix of coconut oil x frankincense eo x helichrysum eo for anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, discolouration & skin healing properties.

Guest Post on the Eczema Itch

16 Ways to Combat Eczema Itch with Natural Eczema Treatments

I recently did a guest post for Prime Physique Nutrition on the awful eczema itch and ways that we can help the symptoms. Shout to Abby for letting me contribute to her wonderful website!

Healing from the inside out is most important when tacking eczema and all of the horrendous symptoms that come along with it. Focusing on diet and detoxification is key, I cannot stress it enough. When the body is cleansed from the inside out and in a more alkaline state, the diseases we are plagued with cannot thrive! 🙂

Make sure to check out the blog post HERE.

Additional Info with the Guest Post:

The Calming Bath Treatment is mentioned in number 4 in the post and I personally find it very soothing when I soak with it. It leaves the skin smooth and hydrated because of the healthy, natural moisturizing ingredients in it.

The Conqueror Soothing Dry Skin Balm is mentioned in number 7 and I also loves this product as it smells divine, gives the skin a well-hydrated feel without feeling too heavy. and a little goes a long way with it.

***More info on my Suggested Moisturizers and Soaps

Essential oils are mentioned in number 16 and I have a blog post where I specifically talk about the natural antihistamine blend HERE with my store site link in the post as well. I love this blend and product because of how effective it is and how it always gives me a calming relief in such a short time. It can really knock out any allergy issues and calm down an itch fest. Another blend that is effective is my Sleepy Time Diffuser Blend which can give calming relief and restful sleep. Diffusing that blend and taking the natural antihistamine blend is like a one-two punch for effective rest for eczema sufferers.

Recipe! – Turmeric Paste

Let’s talk about Turmeric! I love this wonderful spice and have been using it all of my life and for the most part didn’t even know it! I grew up in a Caribbean household and we had vibrant yellow curry dishes for dinner many times. The distinctive golden hue would be in our yellow split pea dahl with rice, or our curried green beans and as the sauce to the chickpea and potato fillings for rotis. It wasn’t until later in life did I realize how medicinal this spice is and how it can be used for more than just cooking!
