Detoxing the Liver

I’m so excited to check out Medical Medium’s new book Liver Rescue!🍎

Our livers work so hard for us to cleanse out the toxins in our daily lives from heavy metals, medication, drugs, alcohol, pesticides, viruses, old toxins from generations ago that have been passed down etc… Our livers can become sluggish from these toxins and from high fat and high protein diets, and it’s so important for us to give it some personal attention and allow it to cleanse and repair.💚

We all know for eczema, our internal elimination channels aren’t working optimally, so the burden is left on the skin (the largest elimination organ) to filter out. It’s critical for us to cleanse from the inside out, get our detox organs working the way they are intended to and in turn, the skin will heal! Check out this awesome info below from Anthony Williams and make sure to follow his instagram page for more gems on reclaiming your health!

I can’t wait to get into this book and use the super effective Ultimate Detox System (which focuses on detoxing the liver) alongside it! This system is the secret weapon of liver detoxing that is the first of its kind in the world! This system was crafted by the brilliant biochemist Dr. Chris Shade and has been over a decade in the making! It’s a 2-step system that supports the elimination of toxins and heavy metals from your body while minimizing their redistribution and reabsorption. It’s best to do the liver detox system in conjunction with taking the nano-enhanced liposomal hemp oil that I highly recommend as it puts the body in balance and takes you out of that constant “fight or flight” mode and puts us in a “rest, repair and digest” state where healing can finally take place!

Ooey Gooey Figs!

I love me some ooey gooey black mission figs & when they are nice and ripe, they truly taste like jam! 😋They are amazing for our digestive tracts, which need to be in great working order to have clear, healthy skin!

Here’s some info on the benefits of figs from The Medical Medium’s book Life Changing Foods. I highly recommend this book, all of the detailed info on how powerful plant foods can be on our bodies is so amazing!

If you’re seeking answers for brain & gut health, look no further than the fig. It’s the ultimate tool for balancing these two intertwined aspects of well-being. Figs have unique phytochemicals that are bonded to minerals such as bioavailable potassium & sodium that specifically nourish & build neurotransmitters while also supporting neurons & synapses in the brain. It’s a powerful fruit for preventing Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, dementia & other neurological diseases, including ALS. On the intestinal side, figs are, like dates, one of the most effective bowel-cleansing foods on the planet. The skins feed good gut bacteria & are also antiseptic, killing unproductive gut bacteria, parasites, mold, & toxic heavy metals, while the seeds get into intestinal crevices & destroy disease-causing bacteria, viruses, & funguses that hide in those pockets. The fruit’s pulp and fiber massage the intestinal lining & build up the digestive immune system to help you stop struggling with stomach pain and bloating. Figs are effective in alleviating all types of gut problems, including diverticulitis, appendix, inflammation, constipation, inflamed colon & complications from C.difficile. Figs are high in vitamins such as the B vitamins, which are specifically bonded to phytochemicals to reduce radiation in the body. Also abundant in trace minerals, micronutrients, antioxidants & more, figs are a wonder food for all manner of ills; they should never be overlooked. The next time you’re dealing with any health issue, think of figs as your secret weapon!

Drink Your Greens!

Who out there likes to

“get yo green drank on”?! 😜🍃🍎🍋

Green drinks are super hydrating, alkalizing, amazing for the skin, great for the digestion and detoxifying for the body. It’s a great way to get a good amount of dense minerals and vitamins in and it’s really refreshing!

Today I used celery, kale, ginger, apple, lemon and cilantro. If you don’t have a juicer, that’s ok! I used my Vitamix blender the strained it. 👍🏽 Give your body some raw green goodness today, your cells will thank you! 💚

Various green drinks I’ve made in the past. Make sure to switch it up and keep it interesting! NOTE: I’ve more so recently omitted adding flax and hemp seeds to my green drinks and just use the fruit and veggies.

Dr Greger x Eczema

I love Dr. Greger’s information and how he breaks everything down from actual analyzed data. He’s all about focusing on nutrition for healing, and these two videos are very informative for those with eczema. In reading my blog, you all know how adamant I am about having a healthy plant-based diet for great overall health and healthy skin. His info just solidifies the recommendations that I give. I have personally seen and felt the benefits of eating a vegan whole food diet, and I highly recommend it for those needing to heal from eczema.

“Dermatologists and Pediatricians have for many years denied the role of food in eczema, even though as many as 80% of kids may benefit from cutting out milk and or eggs” -Dr.Greger

Recipes! – Hemp Milk

Dairy is scary, avoid it like the plague, especially if you have eczema, it’s highly inflammatory, acidic, hard to digest and mucus causing. There are TONS of non-dairy alternatives out there such as rice, oat, flax, hemp, almond, coconut, cashew & more! Check out this simple recipe for hemp milk. Simply blend in a high-speed blender & strain with a nut milk bag if you think it needs it! You can use a few dates as a sweetener or maple syrup or coconut sugar! Here’s some info about hemp seeds: These wonderful healing seeds are packed with all 20 amino acids, are high in protein (which is great for vegans & vegetarians) and are full of vitamin E & fatty acids which are great for skin health! Hemp also has phytonutrients, which are the disease-protective element of plants with benefits that protect your immunity, bloodstream, tissues, cells, skin, and organs. 💚#eczemaholistichealing

16 Ways to Combat Eczema Itch with Natural Eczema Treatments

I recently did a guest post for Prime Physique Nutrition on the awful eczema itch and ways that we can help the symptoms. Shout to Abby for letting me contribute to her wonderful website!

Healing from the inside out is most important when tacking eczema and all of the horrendous symptoms that come along with it. Focusing on diet and detoxification is key, I cannot stress it enough. When the body is cleansed from the inside out and in a more alkaline state, the diseases we are plagued with cannot thrive! 🙂

Essential oils are mentioned in number 16 and I have a blog post where I specifically talk about the natural antihistamine blend HERE with my store site link in the post as well. I love this blend and product because of how effective it is and how it always gives me a calming relief in such a short time. It can really knock out any allergy issues and calm down an itch fest. Another blend that is effective is my Sleepy Time Diffuser Blend which can give calming relief and restful sleep. Banana Benefits

😜🍌Perfectly ripened bananas🍌😜 Make sure to always eat bananas nice & spotty because they are even better for the digestive tract and are super sweet! I’ll freeze them at this stage and blend for smoothies & thick nice cream! INFO: Never be afraid of the sugars in bananas, it’s totally different from the cane sugar & other processed sweeteners in cookies, cakes & doughnuts. Unlike processed sugar, the fruit sugar in bananas is bonded to critical life-supporting trace minerals such as manganese, selenium, copper, boron & molybdenum & a large amount of minerals such as potassium, which is one of the most critical nutrients for neurotransmitter function. Bananas are also high in amino acids that work with potassium as a catalyst for abundant electrolyte production. They are full of fiber, pulp & water & their sugar content is the very reason bananas have rich supplies of antioxidants, vitamins & other phytonutrients to help us fight disease. They are a powerful antiviral food, & high in tryptophan which can soothe sleep disorders, create calm, reduce anxiety & alleviate depression. And those who worry about Candida have no reason to fear bananas because they are the ultimate fungus destroyers, removing unproductive bacteria while feeding beneficial microorganisms in the intestinal tract. This also makes them b12 enhancing, because microbes in the gut can interrupt the ileum’s rightful process of producing b12. They are amazing digestive aids because they are antispasmodic on hyperactive colons, & they can alleviate gastric cramps and stress-related gastrointestinal diseases. They can help reverse colitis, Crohn’s and IBS. And lastly, they are great blood stabilizers, have stress-assist phytochemicals to get you through your day & help you balance your weight. Info from The Medical Medium.

Tips for Picking a Watermelon!

😜🍉WATERMELON TIPS🍉😜 I think watermelon (and melons in general) are a top eczema healing food to add to your diet. It’s super hydrating with its high water content, has fiber to help the digestive tract & comes with tons of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Eating melon is like bathing your body from the inside out! It’s best to eat melons first thing before other foods because they digest the fastest of fruits. You definitely don’t want to have it after a heavy meal because it will be like a traffic jam in your gut and cause all kinds of digestive distress (people at BBQs have it all wrong lol)!

I will have some fresh cut melon for breakfast (after my celery juice and warm lemon/lime turmeric tea), and then when I’m hungry again, I’ll enjoy some other fruit then a smoothie (I keep it high fruit from morning into the afternoon). A great deep cleansing tool is to do a watermelon fast/feast aka watermelon island for few days or longer. This type of mono fruit fast allows the body to clean house while putting its focus on healing because it’s only having to digest one simple food. Watermelon being super alkaline, electric and nutrient dense will aid the body in cleansing the lymphatic system and organs by pulling acidic wastes from the body. 🍉So get out there and get some melons today!🍉 ***squirting a lil fresh lime or lemon on watermelons give another depth of flavour and can even bring out the sweetness! 🍋#eczemaholistichealing

Also, make sure to beware of this GMO seedless watermelon:
