Guest Post on the Eczema Itch

16 Ways to Combat Eczema Itch with Natural Eczema Treatments

I recently did a guest post for Prime Physique Nutrition on the awful eczema itch and ways that we can help the symptoms. Shout to Abby for letting me contribute to her wonderful website!

Healing from the inside out is most important when tacking eczema and all of the horrendous symptoms that come along with it. Focusing on diet and detoxification is key, I cannot stress it enough. When the body is cleansed from the inside out and in a more alkaline state, the diseases we are plagued with cannot thrive! 🙂

Make sure to check out the blog post HERE.

Additional Info with the Guest Post:

The Calming Bath Treatment is mentioned in number 4 in the post and I personally find it very soothing when I soak with it. It leaves the skin smooth and hydrated because of the healthy, natural moisturizing ingredients in it.

The Conqueror Soothing Dry Skin Balm is mentioned in number 7 and I also loves this product as it smells divine, gives the skin a well-hydrated feel without feeling too heavy. and a little goes a long way with it.

***More info on my Suggested Moisturizers and Soaps

Essential oils are mentioned in number 16 and I have a blog post where I specifically talk about the natural antihistamine blend HERE with my store site link in the post as well. I love this blend and product because of how effective it is and how it always gives me a calming relief in such a short time. It can really knock out any allergy issues and calm down an itch fest. Another blend that is effective is my Sleepy Time Diffuser Blend which can give calming relief and restful sleep. Diffusing that blend and taking the natural antihistamine blend is like a one-two punch for effective rest for eczema sufferers.

I hope all of these tips have helped! If anyone needs coaching support, want to just reach out, want to vent or need advice…please feel free to contact me via email: eczema.holistic.healing@gmail.com I’m always happy to hear from my readers and get you the support that you need! ❤ -Jen

Sign-Up Deadline Extended to June 10th!

Hey guys, Abby of @primephysiquenutrition and I have extended the deadline for the Conqueror Eczema Academy LIVE coaching session to June 10th! Each one of our past members have loved being apart of our community, learning all about natural healing for life-long health AND have all seen results within the 8 weeks! It’s so wonderful to get to know everyone from all over the globe and relate with one another in their healing journey. I’ve been through the worst of it (26 years of topical steroid use, and a Hodgkins Lymphoma cancer conqueror) and thankfully I am 6 years topical steroid free. Although I’m still a work in progress, it’s been amazing seeing my skin and overall health repair over the years. It’s so rewarding to help our participants in their journey, encourage them through their struggles and share all I’ve learned and continue to learn to help me heal from the inside out. I hope you’ll join us and learn to get your health back on track as well!

“It’s very good to be interactive and not be alone experiencing the issues by yourself. It’s great to be in a community setting like this. It also helps me to be consistent with my juicing, and hearing others powerful stories helps me to be consistent and keeps me accountable.”
Natalie from California USA
“I got to meet another member through this group and now I have a buddy in my area! She introduced me to her acupuncturist who I love and it got me open to trying acupuncture again. I think it’s so important to have a community and that accountability to tell yourself, “ok you’re going to do this because you know that it works!” I think part of why I was afraid to join this group was because I wasn’t ready to give up all of these things (like certain foods) but once I was ready for it it was really helpful to apart of this community.”
Kirbyfrom New Jersey USA
“I want to thank you, Abby and Jen for putting together this chat group. It’s a group that I wish I would’ve found early on when I was at my worst in my recovery process. I found it extremely helpful to be able to talk in a group and have some other people to listen and understand what you’re going though. This is one of those diseases that if you haven’t really gone through it then it’s hard to understand exactly how challenging it can really be.”
Cathy from Canada
“I’m really glad that I found this group. It’s always helpful to hear about things that people have tried that have helped them, because sometimes we can do things but don’t know if it’s helping. There can be so many different things to explore, so it’s great to hear from their experience and how it worked. All of that has really helped me. My skin has improved from where I started because I could barely sleep through the night. I’m not at 100% yet, but I’m glad for the support and I really value it.”
Cassie from California
“I just wanted to say that since this was my first call, I wasn’t really sure how it would go or what these calls are typically like but it has put me in such an amazing mood and hearing all of you speak about all of your experiences! It has made me so incredibly grateful to have found this group and I’m really in awe that all across the world we can all be going through such similar and intimate experiences and we can share and learn from one another. I was already feeling this way halfway through the call, and then I texted my sister (who also had eczema) and I told her “I’m on my first call, it’s so awesome!” and she texted back “I’m so jealous, where was that when I was going through it!?”

Banana Benefits

😜🍌Perfectly ripened bananas🍌😜 Make sure to always eat bananas nice & spotty because they are even better for the digestive tract and are super sweet! I’ll freeze them at this stage and blend for smoothies & thick nice cream! INFO: Never be afraid of the sugars in bananas, it’s totally different from the cane sugar & other processed sweeteners in cookies, cakes & doughnuts. Unlike processed sugar, the fruit sugar in bananas is bonded to critical life-supporting trace minerals such as manganese, selenium, copper, boron & molybdenum & a large amount of minerals such as potassium, which is one of the most critical nutrients for neurotransmitter function. Bananas are also high in amino acids that work with potassium as a catalyst for abundant electrolyte production. They are full of fiber, pulp & water & their sugar content is the very reason bananas have rich supplies of antioxidants, vitamins & other phytonutrients to help us fight disease. They are a powerful antiviral food, & high in tryptophan which can soothe sleep disorders, create calm, reduce anxiety & alleviate depression. And those who worry about Candida have no reason to fear bananas because they are the ultimate fungus destroyers, removing unproductive bacteria while feeding beneficial microorganisms in the intestinal tract. This also makes them b12 enhancing, because microbes in the gut can interrupt the ileum’s rightful process of producing b12. They are amazing digestive aids because they are antispasmodic on hyperactive colons, & they can alleviate gastric cramps and stress-related gastrointestinal diseases. They can help reverse colitis, Crohn’s and IBS. And lastly, they are great blood stabilizers, have stress-assist phytochemicals to get you through your day & help you balance your weight. Tips for Picking a Watermelon!

😜🍉WATERMELON TIPS🍉😜 I think watermelon (and melons in general) are a top eczema healing food to add to your diet. It’s super hydrating with its high water content, has fiber to help the digestive tract & comes with tons of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Eating melon is like bathing your body from the inside out! It’s best to eat melons first thing before other foods because they digest the fastest of fruits. You definitely don’t want to have it after a heavy meal because it will be like a traffic jam in your gut and cause all kinds of digestive distress (people at BBQs have it all wrong lol)!

I will have some fresh cut melon for breakfast (after my celery juice and warm lemon/lime turmeric tea), and then when I’m hungry again, I’ll enjoy some other fruit then a smoothie (I keep it high fruit from morning into the afternoon). A great deep cleansing tool is to do a watermelon fast/feast aka watermelon island for few days or longer. This type of mono fruit fast allows the body to clean house while putting its focus on healing because it’s only having to digest one simple food. Watermelon being super alkaline, electric and nutrient dense will aid the body in cleansing the lymphatic system and organs by pulling acidic wastes from the body. 🍉So get out there and get some melons today!🍉 ***squirting a lil fresh lime or lemon on watermelons give another depth of flavour and can even bring out the sweetness! 🍋#eczemaholistichealing

Also, make sure to beware of this GMO seedless watermelon:

Recipes! – Uses for Aloe Vera Gel

Adopt ALOE VERA GEL into your daily routine and see & feel the benefits in your skin and overall health!

SKIN: Rich in VitE, anti-inflammatory, prevents and removes wrinkles, gives glowing and super hydrated skin. You can apply it to freshly washed and dried skin, let it sit for 15 min then wash off, great for redness and inflammation, acne, sunburns, blemishes, dry skin etc. HAIR: Cut a large piece, blend and apply to scalp and hair (best if freshly washed), let it sit for 15 min and wash out! Strengthens and grows dry, brittle hair because it’s rich in folic acid & B12! EATING: Blend in juices & smoothies. Consume fresh aloe on a daily basis and it can actually help the skin more from the inside out! Rich in B12 which is great for vegans, contains tons of trace minerals, helps repair the gut & aids in any digestive distress like bloating, constipation etc. I love to add it to my celery x cilantro juice first thing in the morning, and I also love to add it to freshly blended melon juice (add fresh mint for another dimension of flavour)!

Here’s a great skin and digestive nourishing recipe: BLEND •2cups fresh pineapple •1 cucumber •about 2″x2″ piece of fresh aloe and a bit of water and ice if you’d like! Enjoy all the nourishing and hydrating benefits! Pineapples are rich in digestive enzymes (great for gut repair) & vitamin C (great as a natural antihistamine & immune support). #eczemaholistichealing

Check out some awesome reviews from a few of our past participants:
I joined this group 2 years into TSW and I wasn’t sure what exactly I would gain from being here because I did as much research as I could going to practitioners, and doing things on my own but I was still suffering. I had seen little victories here and there but I needed something more. Surprisingly, I learned a lot of little things here and there from the modules and from people sharing on the live coaching calls. Implementing those small changes was a very big push into my healing journey. I’m finally seeing clear results that I haven’t seen in the last 2 – 2 1/2 years! I think it’s an awesome tool for anyone in any stage of their TSW journey. I thought I read every possible blog post to see what other things that I might be missing in my regimen but I’m really glad that I decided to join to be able to get to know Abby and Jen and all the people struggling with me. Just knowing there are other people going through the same struggle is comforting and empowering and knowing that we are rooting each other on as we’re all trying to get to the same goal. We have a “shared trauma” that helps us all to get through. Before this program I would research so much, and learn things on my own like avoiding certain foods, and doing certain things that would be good for the skin, but the biggest thing that helped was realizing how powerful your mindset is in the healing process. Using affirmations, and including your mind in the healing process really helped. That is something that I would not have known to look into on my own. When I’m looking at my skin I can now visualize what it will be like when it’s healed!
-Eiline – California, USA
From joining the program I find the most helpful thing for me is being able to talk to other people in similar positions. I find that to be the biggest help because you know that you’re not alone going through it and that there are others feeling, thinking and experiencing the same things. Also how you all have recommended all natural stuff, I think that’s so important. When I would have recommendations from Abby and Jen, I haven’t hesitated to go ahead and try them because I didn’t have to worry about side effects. I find you all so encouraging and I definitely want to thank you for that!
-Preeti – UK
Abby and Jen’s Conqueror Eczema Academy was really helpful with my journey going through life with eczema. I joined the group to help me take it to another level, to really be focused on it because doing it on my own I cheat here and there and using the groups it helped me to stay on track and it was motivational being on the group calls. I like how responsive Abby and Jen were, anytime we needed information they would put themselves readily available for us, answering any questions and concerns we may have. They did a good job guiding us into which direction in changing our lifestyle for the better. It’s not just the eczema, it’s just a symptom of what’s going on inside of our bodies. They are very informative of what needs to be done to cleanse our bodies and detox, to pretty much overall change our lifestyle and health. I’m really appreciative of these 8-weeks that I’ve gone through and I’ve learned a lot from the both of these coaches and it’s really set a lifestyle change for me to be motivated and to keep up the work. It’s given me a lot of guidance in terms of the right direction for my health. I’m happy that I’ve joined and I’m sure that anyone who joins this will find a lot of benefit from the coaches Abby and Jen.
-Clarence – California USA
Abby and Jen’s programme offered great support to help me get through difficult times in my journey towards better health and skin. It gave me the confidence to know that I am doing down the right path and to stay consistent in the actions I am taking to clear my eczema.

Hydration!

💦h y d r a t i o n💦

Last night on our group coaching call with Abby of Prime Physique Nutrition we had members from California, England, and Australia! 😃 ***If you’d like to sign up for the Conqueror Eczema Academy and be apart of our next round of LIVE coaching, make sure to click HERE!

We discussed many topics, and one of them was the importance of getting hydrated when you wake up in the morning. It’s not only important for people with skin issues but for anyone! We have to remember that we’ve pretty much been fasting all night, so it’s not uncommon to feel super thirsty and dehydrated with extra dry skin. Getting an ample amount of liquids in you in the morning not only helps you hydrate from the inside out by bathing your organs & cells but it stimulates digestion and flushes out toxins!

This is how I like to do it… it has become routine for me and super easy to do: First I like to drink a good amount of room temperature water, then I will drink my celery juice. This is a Medical Medium practice that I’ve adopted and love to do! There are so many health benefits with it, but here’s a few:

  • it’s great for skin health
  • alkalizing the body
  • flushing out toxins
  • aids in digestion
  • it gives me energy
  • and I instantly feel like my skin is refreshed when I drink it!

I like to add a knob of fresh ginger to mine, for extra anti-inflammatory and antibacterial benefits. A little while after that I will have my warm turmeric tea with lime. It’s basically warm lime or lemon water with the addition of turmeric and a tiny bit of black pepper & coconut oil to make it more bioavailable & to bring out the healing properties in it. Turmeric is highly anti-inflammatory and antioxidant-rich. After that I will have some fresh fruit, usually, it’s some sort of melon but today I did a mix of blood oranges, valencia oranges, and navel oranges. 🍊🍊🍊 It’s always best to consume fruit as the first meal of the day because it’s super easy to digest, and hydrating… we don’t want to burden the digestive tract with heavy, hard to digest foods because as I mentioned, we’ve been fasting all night. How do you like to hydrate in the morning?💦

This morning: fresh face…just moisturizer, messy hair don’t care 😜, feeling good-feeling great! …Working on more self-love 💚 Sometimes I look at my skin and only notice the wrinkles that still need to smooth out, or the discolouration and un-even tone that needs to even out. BUT then I check myself…tell myself “look at all you’ve been through with your skin and overall health, it’s not a sprint but a marathon, be kind to yourself, it can take time but you ARE healing and getting better every day!” I touch the areas of my skin that are super smooth, wrinkle-free and even-toned and I touch areas that are still in repair and I repeat, “everywhere else looks and feels like this, everywhere else looks and feels like this” 💜 Saying these words like a mantra, and touching the skin will give life, love and positive healing energy to those areas…the words will manifest and take root! Kiss your skin, touch your skin and tell it you love it, even if it’s angry at the moment…with all of the awful symptoms that come with this healing process…it will thank you 🙏 Be kind and gentle with yourself, your body is healing and taking its time to do so, you do right by it and it will be so right by you! #eczemaholistichealing
